Sick Of Stink Bugs? - Make This Very Effective Trap For $7

Are you as SICK of the stink bug invasion of Beavercreek as we are?!  HATE THEM!!  I think we were all hoping that our miserable winter would have taken care of them... but research and reality is proving that to not be the case.  Rob Venette, a Forest Service Research Biologist reports that temperatures must reach -20°F to even faze them (nor the dreaded Emerald Ash Borer).  So what we've experienced is a little correction that may have thinned their ranks, but as the warm weather returns - so are they.

So what can you do?

  • Step on them - following the crunch you'll discover that they weren't randomly named 'stink' bugs.
  • Vacuum them - very effective, but will offer a less-than-pleasant aroma to your Dyson emptying experience.
  • The 'throw them outside' game - they love this... and will see you again soon!
  • Spray and flush them - a one at a time solution that will cost you a fortune in water here in the 'Creek

If you think they're bad inside your home, don't look in your attic, crawl space, basement, drapery, blankets, furniture, etc.  The nasty buggers love warm, snug places.

This guy in Pittsburgh (yes, home of the dreaded Penguins, Pirates and Steelers) has come up with a $7 trap design that you can build yourself in about 15 minutes.  If you don't want to build one, he'll send you one pretty inexpensively.  Check it out!
